Our Network Advantage

As the popularity of VoIP business phones grows, providers come and go at an alarming rate. Vintalk is a stable, established company with global coverage and an ever-increasing footprint in the VoIP market. We’re in it for the long haul, so to speak! Consider the following:

Geography: Vintalk offers blanket coverage of the US market, as well as more than 200 countries worldwide. International partners and suppliers help us provide seamless coverage, which is expanding as we continue to invest in growth and new technology.

No hidden fees: With Vintalk, you can count on complete transparency in our pricing for products and features. Each service plan is detailed in its coverage and costs. You won’t find “surprise” charges on your monthly statement. And we work with you to keep your costs low while your network quality remains high.

Customer support: Our Customer Care Center operates 24/7/365, which means that a knowledgeable and friendly representative can help to answer questions and solve unexpected problems. In addition, our customers also are supported via e-mail and our pending, integrated “Online Service Clerk” feature.

International rates: With 20 countries in our FREE ZONE calling areas, and competitively low rates to just about everywhere else, you don’t have to worry when the long-distance bill comes in.

More About Our Network:

Back in 2001, the overwhelming shift from circuit-based networks to VoIP prompted Vintalk to develop its global network using the Nextone MSW and Sansay VSX, which allows for VoIP interconnections with its customers and suppliers. Vintalk has rapidly developed its VoIP network with coverage in more than 200 countries. We provide service to more than 150 long distance carriers around the world, and the company partners with more than 200 vendors/suppliers who provide termination services in their respective countries.

Softswitch Platform

The Nextone MSW and Sansay offer the following advantages:

  • Inter-operable with the most commonly used VoIP routers available, including Cisco, NuEra, Clarent, Quintum, VocalTel, and Lucent.
  • Capable of H.323 and SIP signaling.
  • May be integrated with the Fastlink billing and traffic reporting system used by Vinculum.

Billing & Reporting

Vintalk fully understands the importance of providing customers, agents, and route partners with accurate billing statements, reports and call records. Therefore, we chose CustomCall’s AS/400-based system for call processing and billing. CustomCall uses a variety of techniques to procure client Call Data Records (CDRs), which are then processed by CustomCall’s AS/400. The processing power of the AS/400 means that CDRs are processed quickly and accurately for every billing cycle, and there will never be a need to upgrade to a larger architecture. The CDRs are processed using client information located on CustomCall’s database server, StreamLineSM ASP. StreamLine ASP is a web-based database server, which allows various users access to a centralized information system over the Internet. StreamLine ASP is provided on a fully redundant, robust architecture, and includes full database access for users, secure connections and nightly data backups. CustomCall manages all aspects of billing for clients, including printing, stuffing and mailing.

Billing End User Portal

The End User Portal is CustomCall’s web-based system for service selection, account self-care, and electronic bill presentment. Using the end user portal, customers are able to view and pay bills, order service and manage their account. If a customer decides that they want call waiting or any of a host of other features, that customer can order service automatically using the end user portal. Since the bills are delivered electronically, there are no associated paper costs, no postage costs and no time waiting for bills to be printed and sent in the mail. The end user portal is provided using CustomCall’s web servers.

Features Include:

  • Real-time traffic data and summaries
  • Traffic summaries by country, customer and supplier
  • Summaries for each destination, including call attempts, call completions, ASR percentages, total duration, average duration per call, total revenue, revenue per minute, total cost, cost per minute, total margin, and margin per minute
  • Comprehensive history of all rates offered to all customers and from all vendors
  • Accurate and flexible system for changing customer rates and sending rate change notifications
  • Web-based system allows easy user name and password access to Vintalk customers, vendors and agents worldwide

VoIP Advantages

For Vintalk customers and international providers/partners, the advantages of a VoIP interconnection are many:

  • Quick turn-up time for quicker revenue
  • Quicker and easier augmentation to existing capacity
  • Lower interconnection cost
  • Lower direct or indirect operating costs
  • Removes geographic boundaries by reaching carriers on a global basis — virtually anywhere Internet access is available

In summary, Vintalk’s state-of-the-art network and billing technology positions the company to be an impact player in the international wholesale marketplace.
