Scott Goodwin

Chairman & CEO

Scott Goodwin brings 23 years of telecom experience to the Vinculum’s management team, including the last ten in the wholesale international market. Under his leadership, Vinculum has quickly become one of the fastest-growing international VoIP carriers in the world, thanks to his sales management, recruiting, strategic planning and network optimization expertise.

Prior to founding Vinculum in 2001, Goodwin spent 8 years as Senior Vice President with WorldxChange Communications and, at various times, managed their wholesale, prepaid card and operator services divisions. He built the wholesale group into a $250 million division as well as growing the prepaid card division by $180 million in annual sales in only two years. It was while managing the international wholesale group with employees in sixteen countries that Goodwin developed a very extensive international contact list of both customers and suppliers that he continues to foster.

Goodwin was Assistant Vice President of Sales and Marketing for One Call Communications from 1988 to 1993 and was instrumental in significant growth in their wholesale and operator services products. From 1983 to 1988, Goodwin held sales positions with Allnet Communications, Virtual Network Services, and Consolidated Network Services respectively. A graduate of Ball State University with a BA in Accounting, Goodwin resides in La Jolla, CA with Angela, his wife of 20 years and his two daughters, Spenser and Halle.

Joseph DePetro

President

Joe DePetro brings more than 20 years senior management experience within the telecommunications industry, both domestic and international. As Executive Vice President of Global Business Development for Pacific Gateway Exchange, DePetro directed the company’s worldwide sales organization. He traveled extensively throughout Europe and Asia negotiating asset exchanges and network swaps.

DePetro was part of the Level 3 Communications start-up team in 1998, responsible for implementing the business plan and sales strategy for the Wholesale Division. He directed the senior-level sales team, concentrating on capacity and dark fiber sales, producing more than $1B in revenue in their first 18 months.

In 1989, DePetro was hired by Southern Pacific Telecommunications (SP Telecom). During his nine-plus-year tenure, DePetro held several senior-level positions, including Vice President of Commercial Sales, Vice President of Wholesale Markets and ultimately, Vice President/General Manager of Sales and Marketing. He had full P&L responsibility, providing leadership and direction for a team of more than 400. In 1994, SP Telecom acquired Qwest, a Dallas-based digital microwave company, moved their headquarters to Denver and changed the name to Qwest. The company went public in 1997 and was recognized as one of the most successful IPOs of the year.

DePetro also served as Chief Operating Officer for Brunetti DEC, a design-and-build firm focusing within the wireless, i.e.WiFi, WiMax, industry. Brunetti DEC contracts with rural municipalities to engineer, design, build and operate wireless broadband networks where broadband services are limited or nonexistent. Earlier in his career, DePetro held senior sales management positions with Allnet Communications and Sprint.

Jayson Jones

Chief Operating Officer

Jayson Jones brings 16 years of entrepreneurial experience to Vinculum, beginning with his first startup in 1989 with software development company PLP Digital in Phoenix. Jones is a co-founder of Vinculum Communications, Inc. and has contributed to its success since its inception in 2001. Jones is currently overseeing the launch of Vincomm’s retail broadband division to build a strong domestic footprint, as well as attract international partners for their hosted IP PBX services.

Jones was formerly Vice President of Sales and Marketing with PageMasters, Inc., a software company dedicated to developing WIN32 applications for wide-format digital printing and scanning. He was an original founding partner of PageMasters, Inc., his second startup launched in 1995, and was the primary visionary for the development of strategic products for the reprographics and commercial printing industries. With over 12 years experience in marketing and building sales channels for digital printing and scanning technologies, he is now applying his knowledge and expertise to the new opportunities of broadband telecommunications.

Jones majored in business administration at the University of Nevada, Reno. From 2000 through 2004, Jones held the position of President of the Board of Directors for the Neurofibromatosis Association of Arizona, overseeing its fundraising efforts. Jones has three teenage sons and resides in San Diego, CA.

Bryon Borgardt

Chief Financial Officer

Bryon joined Vinculum in February 2007. Over the past 25 years, he has held the senior financial position in various manufacturing and distribution companies, both domestic and international. Industries include water purification, irrigation, building products, international contracting, semiconductor, and food distribution. While Bryon’s primary roles have been as the Chief Financial Officer, he has managed Internal Audit, HR, IT, Legal, Logistics, Contracts Administration, Strategic Planning, and served as the Chief Operating Officer for subsidiary operations. Bryon has experience with public, private equity-backed, and entrepreneurial operations. He also has led the sale or purchase of over 20 companies, including the integration of acquisitions. Bryon has an MBA and has attended numerous financial and executive seminars, both domestic and international.

Robert Koehler

Robert Koehler

Senior Vice President Carrier Relations

Robert Koehler joined Vinculum in 2001 and has contributed significantly to making the company a successful telecommunications company. Koehler manages all carrier relations which involve dealing with approximately 200 customers and vendors around the world.

After graduating in 1993 from Texas Christian University, Robert Koehler started his career with the largest international security provider (ADT). He quickly became a top sales consultant on a national level. Mr. Koehler helped grow strategic alliances with many national retailers and several of the largest real estate companies in the U.S. He accepted a sales management position where he increased the department’s revenue by 20% and recruited, hired, trained, and motivated a productive sales force of 25-30 representatives.

Louis Destree, Vice President

Wholesale Network Operations

Louis Destree brings fifteen years of applied technical experience to Vinculum Communications. His career has focused on network engineering and systems administration for a variety of telecommunications, ISP, educational, and corporate entities.

Recently, Destree has focused on international voice over IP technologies. He has acted as senior network engineer for Vinculum Communications since 2002, and previously served as manager of technical services for Advance Global Communications and senior network engineer for IP operations. Prior to his involvement in VOIP, Destree was senior systems engineer for COLO.COM, an international provider of collocation facilities. Other recent career highlights include responsibility for the core network of a 250,000 subscriber national ISP at FlashNet Communications and the technical start-up of two regional ISP’s at PRIA Global Access and Pyramid.Net. Destree majored in electrical engineering at the University of Nevada Reno.

Peter Llewellyn

Chief Technology Officer

Peter Llewellyn, VP of Retail Operations, joined the Vinculum family on July 10th 2006. He brings a wealth of VoIP, network and telecom knowledge from over 16 years experience in the telecommunications industry. Most recently he was with Acceris Communications, where he was responsible for the Operations and Management of 11 switches (Class 4) located throughout the US . As Principal engineer and Project Manager, Llewellyn led Acceris through a successful launch of their retail VoIP product line. He was with Acceris (previously WorldxChange) for 6 years in the US and 3 years in the Australian subsidiary.

Prior to that, Llewellyn worked for Telstra Australia at the Perth Inmarsat Satellite Ground Station and various other facilities (switching and transmission). Llewellyn obtained an Associate Diploma in Electrical Engineering (major in Communications) at North Sydney in 1990.
